The story
Phoenix trailed by 11 and still found a way. Portland built early momentum, winning the first quarter 26-20 and stretching the lead to 50-43 at halftime. The Fire stayed ahead through the third quarter, leading 69-68 going into the fourth. But Mercury answered when it mattered most, outscoring Portland 26-22 in the final quarter to secure the 94-91 victory. Shay Ciezki led Phoenix with 22 points. Emily Engstler paced Portland with 21, but it wasn't enough.
