The story

Dallas had Mercury on the ropes. The Wings built a 14-point deficit into a lead that held through 3 quarters, up 68-61 heading into the final frame. But Phoenix found another gear. Kahleah Copper carried the load with 31 points, and Alyssa Thomas orchestrated the floor with 12 assists while pulling down 11 rebounds. The Mercury outscored Dallas 26-18 in the 4th quarter to steal it 87-86 at home. Dallas played a complete game: Paige Bueckers scored 30, Jessica Shepard dominated the glass with 19 rebounds. But Phoenix's depth and fourth-quarter resolve won the night.
