The story
The Sun came to Washington and made it close. Connecticut trailed by 2 at halftime but couldn't close the gap in the second half. The Mystics won the first quarter 23-16, lost the second 26-21, then took control with a 22-16 third. The Sun scored just 11 in the fourth while Washington added 13. Diamond Miller led Connecticut with 19 points and Aaliyah Edwards pulled 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough. Washington's depth showed: Shakira Austin dominated with 25 points and 13 rebounds, Cotie McMahon added 13, and Sonia Citron chipped in 12. The Mystics trailed by as many as 4 and still won. Final: 79-69.
